How to Set Up GTrack MCP in ChatGPT

This tutorial explains how to connect GTrack MCP to ChatGPT, allowing you to interact with GTrack data directly inside ChatGPT.

Before starting, make sure you enable Developer Mode.

🔑 The GTrack API Key is available only for Business and Pro plans. It is not available on the Starter or Advanced plans.

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode in ChatGPT

Before creating the MCP connection, make sure you have Developer Mode turned on.

This mode allows you to create and manage custom MCP connectors inside ChatGPT.

  1. Open ChatGPT.
  2. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select Settings
  4. Scroll down to the bottom and click Advanced settings.

  1. Inside Advanced settings, toggle Developer mode ON.

Step 2: Create a New Connector

Once Developer Mode is enabled, go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create to start adding your GTrack MCP connection.

  1. Click the Create button at the top-right of the Apps & Connectors page.

Step 3: Fill in the Connector Details

In the New Connector form:

  1. Name: Enter GTrack.
  2. MCP Server URL:

Copy the MCP URL from the GTrack API Documentation and add your API key at the end of the link.

Example format: https://gtrack-mcp.wiremo.co/?key=gtrk_live_your_api_key_here

👉 If you don’t have an API key yet, follow this guide: How to Create an API Key in GTrack. ✅ We recommend you to get a new key for the MCP

  1. Authentication: Select No authentication.
  2. Check the box “I understand and want to continue.”
  3. Click Create.

Step 4: Confirm the Connection

You should see:

  • A Connected on date
  • The MCP URL including your API key
  • A list of available Actions such as list_scans, get_scan_status, initiate_scan_no_polling, and others.

Important: API Key Permissions

To run scans (such as initiate_scan_no_polling or initiate_scan_with_polling),

⚠️ Your API key must have the “Write” permission enabled. For elevated access, contact GTrack Support via live chat.

  • Read: Allows fetching scan results and business data.
  • Write: Allows creating new scans.
  • Permissions are managed by GTrack and cannot be manually changed by users.

If your key only has read access, you’ll still be able to view existing scans and reports but won’t be able to create new ones.

Once confirmed, proceed to explore the available Actions and run your first live scan or retrieve reports.

Step 5: Start Using GTrack in ChatGPT

Once your GTrack MCP connector is active and verified, you can start using it directly inside ChatGPT.

  1. Open a new chat in Developer Mode.
  2. Click the “+” icon next to the message bar.
  3. Go to More → GTrack and select it.

Example Prompts and Actions in ChatGPT

Once your GTrack MCP is connected and active, you can start interacting with your GTrack data directly inside ChatGPT.

Here are the most common actions you’ll use.

🗂️ 1. List All Scans

Prompt Example:

Show me last 3 scans.
List all scans with pagination support.

Action Used: list_scans

What It Does:

Displays your previous scans, including their IDs, names, and creation dates — perfect for reviewing past activity.

✅ You can now use these prompts directly in ChatGPT after adding your GTrack MCP from the “More” menu.

ChatGPT will automatically execute the right action and return live data from your GTrack account.

How to Set Up GTrack MCP in Claude.AI

For Claude, the setup process is more or less the same: you’ll simply add the GTrack MCP URL as a custom connector inside your account settings.

Step 1: Open Settings and Access Connectors

  1. Log in to your Claude.ai account.
  2. Click on your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
  3. From the menu, select Settings.
  4. In the left-hand sidebar, click Connectors.
  5. Click the Add custom connector button.

Step 2: Add the GTrack MCP URL

  1. In the Add Custom Connector window, enter a name: for example: GTrack.
  2. Paste your GTrack MCP URL: Example format: https://gtrack-mcp.wiremo.co/?key=gtrk_live_your_api_key_here

👉 If you don’t have an API key yet, follow this guide: How to Create an API Key in GTrack. ✅ We recommend you to get a new key for the MCP

  1. After pasting the URL, a confirmation message will appear stating that you must trust this connector.
  2. Simply click Add to complete the setup.

Once added, the GTrack MCP connector will be active in Claude, allowing it to securely reference your GTrack data for contextual insights and automation.

Step 3: Check the GTrack Connector Configuration

After adding the connector, you can review its configuration options to confirm everything is working correctly.

  1. In the Connectors list, find GTrack and click Configure.
  2. The configuration panel will display available tools and permissions for your connector — such as:
  • List scans – Retrieve all scans with pagination support.
  • Get scan status – View scan results and details.
  • Initiate scan (polling or no polling) – Start new scans manually or with automatic completion.
  • Generate grid – Create coordinate grids for scan areas.
  • Get tracked businesses – Fetch all tracked businesses linked to your account.
  1. For each tool, you can adjust access behavior (e.g., Always ask permission) depending on your preferences.

Step 4: Run a Scan Test in Claude

Once your GTrack connector is configured, you can test it directly in Claude to ensure it’s working correctly.

  1. Open a new Claude chat window.
  2. Type a command like:

Prompt Example:

Show me last 3 scans.
List all scans with pagination support.

  1. Claude will use the GTrack MCP connector to communicate with your GTrack account and execute the request.
  2. If everything is set up properly, you’ll see a live response showing scan data or business information retrieved from your account.

✅ You’re All Set!

You’ve successfully connected GTrack MCP to both ChatGPT and Claude.ai.

From here, you can start running live scans, tracking businesses, and retrieving data directly through your AI assistant — all powered by your GTrack API integration.

đź’ˇ We recommend saving your API key securely and reviewing your connector permissions periodically to ensure smooth and secure access.

If you ever need to adjust your setup or request elevated access (e.g., enabling Write permissions), simply reach out to GTrack Support via live chat.

Next steps:

  • Explore the available API endpoints and connector tools.
  • Automate repetitive scan tasks through prompts.
  • Combine GTrack data with other integrations inside ChatGPT or Claude for advanced workflows.

You’re now ready to take full advantage of GTrack’s API and MCP integration within your favorite AI platforms!
