How to Rescan in GTrack with the same parameters

πŸ” Google Maps Rank Tracker | How to Rescan in GTrack with the same parameters

Need to repeat a previous scan without setting everything up from scratch? Use the Rescan button to reload your last scan with all its settings, fast and simple.

βœ… Step 1: Go to My Scans

From your GTrack dashboard:

  • Click My Scans from the left-hand menu
  • You will see a list of all your previous scans. Select a business that you want to rescan with the same parameters
  • Select the business scan you want to repeat with the same parameters

πŸ“Œ If you click the Business Name, you will be taken to the scan results page - **This is the **same view you get by clicking the View Details button.

πŸ”„ Step 2: Click the Rescan Button

To rescan the same business with the same parameters, just click the Blue Rescan Button.

  • Click the blue Rescan icon (circular arrow) on the scan row

This will load:

  1. Same Business Name
  2. Same Keyword
  3. Same Grid size and Distance
  4. Same Language
  5. Same Zoom
  6. Same Center point

🟑 Important: Every rescan will always start with all pins enabled, even if you disabled some in your previous scan. If you want to skip scanning certain areas, simply click any pin to disable it (a red ❌ will appear).

Why does this happen? Disabling pins is a temporary option that applies only to the scan you're about to run. Because grid coordinates depend on the radius, grid size, and center point, saving pin states between scans could lead to inaccurate or broken results. That’s why GTrack automatically resets all pins during each rescan, to ensure every new scan starts clean and produces accurate geo-grid data.

  1. Once you're done, click the Initiate Scan button to begin the rescan.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip

The Rescan feature loads all your previous settings to save you time, but you're not locked into them.

Before clicking Initiate Scan, you can:

  • πŸ”„ Change or add new keyword(s) to test a new search term for the same location
  • πŸ“ Adjust the grid size to make it smaller (for detailed local targeting) or larger (to cover more area)
  • πŸ“ Update the scan radius to explore visibility over a wider or narrower area

This flexibility lets you fine-tune each rescan based on new goals, seasonal trends, or local SEO experiments, all without starting from scratch.

πŸ†• Want to Create a Brand New Scan?

If you'd rather start from scratch instead of rescanning a past scan, you can easily create a new geo-grid scan:

  • Go to the New Scan section from your GTrack dashboard
  • Enter your business name, target keyword, choose your location, and set your grid size and radius
  • Click Initiate Scan to start tracking fresh visibility data
