Use the AI Scan Insights feature in GTrack to analyze your scan results using advanced AI-powered intelligence.
This tool helps you understand your visibility, ranking consistency, and areas for improvement across your scanned grid.
β¨ How to create an AI Scan Insights report
- Go to "My Scans" or create a New Scan for which you want to create an AI Report.
- Locate the scan you want to analyze and click the Business name or View Details button on the right.

- Once you're on the scan results page, youβll see your geo-grid with ranking pins.
- In the top right corner of the screen, click the AI Analysis button.
- This will begin processing your scan data using GTrackβs AI engine.
π‘Note:
- Tokens are used for AI keyword suggestions and AI Scan Analysis
- Each suggestion request uses ~100-300 tokens and AI scan ~1800 tokens
- Tokens reset monthly based on your plan

π§ AI Report β Overview Tab
Once your scan has been analyzed by the AI engine, a detailed AI Scan Insights report will appear in a popup.
The first section is the Overview tab β this is where youβll find the high-level snapshot of your scanβs performance.
π― Key Metrics
At the top, youβll see important scan metrics:
- Average Ranking β your mean rank across all scanned points.
- Best Position β the top position reached in the scan.
- Consistency Score β how evenly distributed your rankings are.
- Coverage β how many grid points were included (e.g., 81 locations).
- Days Open β pulled from your Google Business Profile (GBP), how many days per week your business is marked as open.

π Ranking Distribution
This bar chart shows how many pins fall into each ranking group:
- 1β3: 17 locations
- 4β5: 10 locations
- 6β10: 14 locations
- 11β15: 13 locations
- 16β20: 7 locations
- 20+: 20 locations
This helps visualize whether you're dominating top results or need improvement in certain ranking bands.

π§© Position Performance
At the bottom of the Overview tab, you'll find a breakdown of how many points your business appears in the:
- β Top 3 Positions β 17
These are the most coveted map spots β being in the top 3 means higher visibility and click-through rates. Itβs where most users make their decision.
- β Top 5 Positions β 27
Strong local presence. Positions 4 and 5 are still considered highly visible and often appear just below the fold on Google Maps.
- β Top 10 Positions β 41
This range includes listings that users typically scroll to when doing deeper research. Ranking here shows moderate visibility and signals good SEO potential.
- β Top 20 Positions β 61
Indicates broader awareness but lower conversion potential β a good place to monitor improvements and push for higher positions.
This section helps you evaluate how many grid points you dominate at each competitive level.
More rankings in the top 3β10 range suggest strong local SEO performance, while many in the 11β20 range highlight areas for growth.

π Performance Tab
The Performance tab provides a deeper layer of AI-generated analysis. It highlights performance patterns, local visibility differences, and gives tailored recommendations based on your scan.
π Performance Analysis
This section explains how well your business ranks overall for the scanned keyword.
You'll see:
- Your average ranking across the grid
- Your best achieved position
- A summary explaining whether your visibility is strong or could be improved
This is especially useful if you're tracking multiple scans over time or comparing performance between different keywords.

πΊοΈ Geographic Insights
This part of the report helps you understand how your visibility varies by area.
If you're ranking better in certain neighborhoods but not others, this could indicate:
- Local competition is stronger in specific zones
- Your Google Business Profile may be better optimized for one area vs another
You can use these insights to:
- Refocus marketing in underperforming areas
- Expand category relevance or review efforts for weaker grid zones

β Key Findings
This is where the AI summarizes high-priority opportunities and challenges found in your scan.
Each point includes:
- What was detected
- Why it matters
- Suggested strategic action
Examples include:
- Category Opportunities: You could improve visibility by adding "Restaurant" as a business category.
- Profile Completeness: Your listing is complete, but lacks the category variety your top competitors use.
- Competitive Threats: Competitors like The Smart Bakery and Daria's Bakery & Bistro dominate certain areas.
- Performance Patterns: Youβre just outside the top-tier rankings and small adjustments may lead to significant improvement.
This section is great for planning your next optimization steps with focus and clarity.

π₯ Competition Tab
The Competition tab shows how your business stacks up against others in your area for the scanned keyword. It gives you a clear picture of the top competitors, their frequency in search results, ratings, and visibility.
Competitive Analysis
At the top of this tab, GTrack AI gives you a summary of your main local competitors β those appearing most often in the same geo-grid and ranking well. This helps you identify real threats and opportunities for strategic positioning.

Your main threats are The Smart Bakery and Daria's Bakery & Bistro, both of which have high frequency and solid ratings. They are capturing a significant share of the market, indicating a need for strategic adjustments.

π Top Competitors by Frequency
This bar chart displays the businesses that appear most frequently across your scanned grid.
- Each bar represents a competitor
- Frequency is shown as a percentage
- Hovering shows their star rating and review count
This lets you compare your businessβs local visibility to others in your niche.

π Metrics at a Glance
See the summary metrics:
- Total Competitors: How many businesses appeared in the scan
- Strong Competitors: Those with high visibility and ratings
- Avg Competitor Rating: General review quality across all competing listings
- Market Presence: How much of the search share your business owns in this scan
These stats make it easy to benchmark your local SEO performance against others.

π Detailed Competitor Analysis
A detailed table with your top competitorsβ stats, this table helps you:
- Spot which competitors dominate your area
- Compare ratings and review volumes
- Identify your strongest competition
- Understand how your average rank compares
This section is especially helpful for identifying competitors with a strong presence. You can compare how often they appear, how well-rated they are, and how many reviews theyβve collected.
This makes it easy to prioritize which businesses to monitor or benchmark against.

βοΈ Operations Tab
The Operations tab helps you evaluate how well your business profile is optimized for visibility in local search. It covers your profile completeness, timezone alignment, business hours, and contact methods β and gives AI-driven suggestions for improvement.
π Key Operational Metrics
This section shows operational readiness for your listing. A well-configured profile improves trust and ranking visibility:
- Profile Completeness β Whether all essential fields (website, phone, categories) are filled out.
- Contact Methods β Confirms if both phone number and website are included in your GBP listing.
- Timezone β Your business timezone should match your Google Business Profile settings.
- Operational Days β How many days a week your business is open. Ideally, this should reflect your actual business hours.
These elements help Google validate the legitimacy and completeness of your listing β boosting your local authority.

π§© Category Strategy
Your current categories are assessed to see if they align well with your services and what competitors are using.
- You may be advised to add categories like "Restaurant", "Coffee Shop", or "Cafe" to reach a broader audience.
- Competitor insights show that these categories appear more frequently and rank well in your niche.
π‘ Tip: The more relevant categories you have (without spamming), the more searches you can appear in.

π Profile Enhancement Opportunities
This section offers suggestions based on competitor comparisons:
- Are you missing key attributes (like photos, services, or Q&A)?
- Are your competitors getting visibility by using more diverse categories?
Even if your profile is already 100% complete, there might be untapped opportunities to enhance discoverability.
By acting on these operational recommendations, you improve both your Google profile and your potential map rankings.

π§ Insights Tab
The Insights tab gives a strategic summary of risks and opportunities identified by the AI based on your scan data. This helps you pinpoint potential threats and unlock areas for local SEO growth.

These are the areas where your business might be falling short compared to competitors. Addressing these risks can help maintain and improve your search visibility:
- Specific category-related risk: Not adding "Restaurant" could prevent capturing a broader audience.
- Specific competition-related risk: Competitors like The Smart Bakery and Daria's Bakery & Bistro may overshadow your visibility if they continue to leverage their category advantages.
- Profile-related risk compared to competitors: Lack of additional categories may limit your ability to compete effectively in local search results.

π‘ Opportunities
These suggestions show where you can gain ground by optimizing your listing:
- High-impact category opportunity: Add "Restaurant" to your categories to align with competitor strategies and improve visibility.
- Profile enhancement opportunity: Consider adding a "menu" section or detailed descriptions of your offerings to attract more customers.
- Competitive advantage opportunity: Highlight your unique selling proposition as a raw vegan cake specialist in your marketing materials to differentiate from competitors.

π Performance Breakdown
This section summarizes key performance indicators across your scan grid. These metrics help you understand your visibility, dominance, volatility, and competition:
- Visibility Rate:
75.3%Percentage of locations where your business appears in the top 20 search results. - Dominance Score:
21.0%Percentage of grid points where your business ranks in the top 3 β a sign of strong SEO impact. - Volatility Score:
3.6Measures how consistent your ranking is across different locations. A lower score means more stability. - Competition Intensity:
7/15Number of strong competitors (those ranking well) out of the total competitors in your scan.
These numbers help you benchmark your performance and decide where to focus your next optimizations.

π― Actions Tab
The Actions tab transforms insights into a prioritized to-do list. Instead of guessing what steps to take next, GTrack's AI gives you clear, ranked recommendations based on your actual scan data.
This section focuses on what you should do now, what to improve next, and what to plan for later β all tailored to your current local SEO performance.
You'll see a mix of:
- π§ Actionable Recommendations β specific changes you can make to categories, content, or your GBP setup

- π’ Implementation Priority β how urgent and impactful each recommendation is (High, Medium, Low)

- ποΈ Next Steps Timeline β suggested actions by time frame (this week, this month, next 3 months)

By following this list, you can confidently take action to improve your local rankings and outperform nearby competitors.
πΎ Save & Export Your AI Reports
Once you've reviewed your AI Scan Insights, you can save the report for future access or export it.
- Save Report: Click the Save Report button at the top right. This stores your AI insights in your GTrack account, allowing you to revisit them anytime from the AI Scan Insights section.
- Export Report: Click the Export button to download a full JSON version of the report. This is useful for backups, custom reporting, or integrating with other tools.
Saving or exporting ensures you always have access to your performance insights and recommendations β whether you're presenting to clients or planning future strategy.
