How to Use GBP Audit in GLocal to Analyze and Optimize Your Google Business Profile

The GBP Audit in GLocal helps you review your Google Business Profile section by section and identify issues that may affect your local visibility.

It gives you a structured way to analyze your business information, check important profile details, and generate AI-based reports for each audit section.

1. Access GBP Audit

To begin using the audit tool:

  • Open GBP Audit from the left sidebar
  • Select the business you want to review

Once selected, GLocal opens the audit page for that business and loads all available audit sections.

2. What You Will See in GBP Audit

At the top of the page, you will see the main business details connected to the selected profile.

This includes:

  • Business name
  • Location ID
  • Place ID

Below that, you will see the audit section menu, which is divided into separate parts of your Google Business Profile:

  • NAP Analysis
  • Categories & Services
  • Profile Description
  • Hours & Availability
  • Attributes & Features
  • Reviews & Media

Each section is designed to help you review one part of your profile in detail.

πŸ“ NAP Analysis (Name, Address, Phone number)

The first section in the audit is NAP Analysis.

This section focuses on your core business details and contact information. It helps you review the most important profile data that should stay accurate and consistent across your Google Business Profile and other online listings.

1. What the NAP Analysis Section Displays

Inside NAP Analysis, GLocal displays several groups of information.

Business Name & Contact Details

Here you can review the main business details shown on your profile:

  • Business Name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Website

This helps you quickly confirm that your public contact details are correct.

This area shows connected business links such as:

  • Facebook
  • WhatsApp
  • Appointment URL

These links help you review whether your profile is connected to the right external pages and customer contact points.

Location Details

This section includes important location-related profile data such as:

  • Coordinates
  • Google Maps URL
  • Review URL

These details are useful for validating the profile location and checking the direct links connected to your Google Business Profile.

2. What You Can Do in the NAP Analysis Section

At the top of the section, you will see two main options:

  • Grab Prompt
  • Paste LLM Results

These options let you generate an AI audit for the current section.

Grab Prompt

When you click Grab Prompt:

  • The audit prompt is automatically copied
  • The Paste LLM Results window opens automatically

The copied prompt is prepared specifically for this section, so you can use it in your preferred AI tool to generate the audit result.

For best results, we recommend using Claude with its latest model, as it provides more accurate and structured JSON output.

Use the Prompt in an LLM (Large Language Model)

After copying the prompt:

  • Open your preferred AI tool in the browser
  • Paste the prompt
  • Run the analysis

After the LLM generates the result:

  • Copy the JSON output

We recommend using Claude with its latest model, but you can also use another LLM that can return clean JSON.

⚠️ Important Notes

Keep these points in mind:

  • The audit runs through the prompt you paste into your LLM
  • GLocal expects only JSON output
  • This process happens in the browser
  • It does not use GLocal AI tokens
  • This method helps avoid expensive direct API calls for this type of analysis

3. Paste the Audit Result and Visualize It

  • Paste it into Paste JSON Report from LLM
  • Click Visualize

ℹ️ Important Note: AI tools are not always perfect. Do not rely solely on AI results or recommendations - always review them and use your own expertise before applying changes.

GLocal will then render the audit report for that section directly inside the interface.

4. What the NAP Audit Report Shows

After you paste the JSON result and click Visualize, GLocal builds a full report for the NAP Analysis section.

Each part of the report helps you understand your business data, spot inconsistencies, and see what should be fixed first.

4.1 Overview Summary

At the top of the report, you will see a summary with key metrics:

  • Overall Score – shows the general quality of your NAP consistency

For each citation, GLocal may display:

  • Platform
  • Score

This section helps you compare how your business details appear across different sources.

Each step usually includes:

  • the recommended fix
  • the target platform
  • a short explanation of why it matters
  • a direct link to the source, when available

This helps you know what to fix first instead of guessing where to start.

4.8 Receipts (Proof of Errors)

The Receipts section shows proof of the incorrect data found online.

For each item, you may see:

  • the source URL
  • the incorrect data
  • the recommended fix

This gives you direct evidence of what the audit found and helps you verify issues before making changes.

4.9 Evidence Registry

The Evidence Registry shows the collected references used to support the audit findings.

Each entry may include:

  • an evidence ID
  • the source text that was found
  • a short relevance note
  • a View Source button

This section helps you understand where the audit data came from and adds transparency to the report.

Together, these report sections help you review your NAP data in detail, confirm what is correct, and prioritize the fixes that can improve your Google Business Profile consistency.

⚠️ Important Notes About the Report

  • The report is generated and displayed in your browser only
  • It is stored temporarily in your browser local storage
  • It is not saved in GLocal and cannot be accessed later
