How to Use the Analytics Dashboard in GLocal
Understand Your Google Business Profile Performance
The Analytics Dashboard in GLocal helps you understand how customers discover and interact with your Google Business Profile.
GLocal collects performance data directly from Google Business Profile Insights and displays it in a simple dashboard.
GLocal can retrieve up to 18 months of historical data, which is the maximum period available through the Google Business Profile API.
The Analytics section contains three tabs:
- Metrics – profile interactions and search activity
- Keywords – search queries used to find your business
- Reviews Keywords – keywords extracted from customer reviews
This tutorial starts with the Metrics tab, which shows how customers interact with your profile.
1. Metrics – Business Profile Interactions
The Metrics tab shows how users find and interact with your Google Business Profile.
At the top, you can select the date range to analyze performance and use the Export button to download the selected data or all available analytics.

This section shows the actions customers take on your Google Business Profile:
- Total Profile Interactions – The total number of actions users performed on your profile during the selected period.
- Directions – The number of users who clicked Directions to navigate to your business.
- Website Clicks – Shows how many users clicked the website link on your profile.
- Phone Calls – The number of users who clicked the call button from your business profile.
- Food Menu Clicks – Shows how many users opened your menu if one is available.
- Year-over-Year Comparison – The percentage shown under each metric indicates the change compared to the same period last year, helping you quickly see if interactions are increasing or decreasing.
Interaction Trends
Below the metrics cards you will see a graph showing interaction trends over time.
| |
At the top of the chart you will see selectable metric buttons. Each line represents a type of action:
- Directions
- Website Clicks
- Phone Calls
- Food Menu Clicks
These buttons are clickable filters. You can enable or disable any metric to focus on the data that matters most.
For example, if you only want to analyze phone calls, simply click Phone Calls and the chart will display only that metric.
You can also switch the chart visualization using the Line and Stacked Bar options on the right side of the chart.
The Line view shows how interactions change over time, while the Stacked Bar view groups all metrics into daily bars so you can easily compare total activity and the contribution of each interaction type.
